On short notice, I decided to attend Glazer’s Leica Day, where I met numerous other Leica fanatics. One thing’s for sure.. while most of these guys had more than one Leica in their bag (mostly the Monochrome and lots of M9s), they all love photography and cameras of all kinds. No snobs here. Just a bunch of uber-friendly hobbyists excited to be around each other and share everything they know and love without the pretense you might expect from a crowd of Leicaphiles.
Also – apparently, many of the folks that showed up are part of the local ‘SLUG’ – Seattle Leica User Group. They meet about once a month to shoot and/or chat about their Leica-driven obsession. I’ll be joining them next meeting.
Finally, I learned that Mark, pictured last, has been with Glazer’s for 13 years, and is an excellent resource for Leica owners. His typical setup – an M body loaded with black-and-white film.
